The USPS has announced rate increases for commercial pieces starting on October 18th. As a result, many of the shipments sent to consumers from CCS will see a postage increase that started in October.
CCS utilizes a FedEx service called Smart Post to ship many items over 1lb to consumers. Historically, the turn around time for this service was stated as 3-7 days (or longer during holidays) because the USPS was utilized to complete the last portion of the package journey. Now FedEx has completed 90% of a transition to their Ground division being the final leg of the Smart Post package journey. This has reduced delivery time dramatically. This change will also allow us to utilize this product further into December which will save you money on holiday shipments to consumers.
